February 2019 Side Hustle Report – $2,548.66

Hi Friends! I am absolutely blown away at the kind of month we had for February, we hit some incredible new milestones but also had some extra expenses come up. Check out my Full Budget Report Card to get all the details! To give you a mini snapshot we made a total of $15,693.31 which is a record breaking month! I am so proud of my husband Jayme and all of his hard work, two weeks this month he worked over 100 hours a week and barely slept. All I have to say is thank God is he hourly and not salary because that was a ton of OVERTIME!

I set a goal this month to make $2,000 in side hustle, this was a big stretch for us because the previous year we were averaging $792. We blew past that goal and landed at $2,548.66, with $1,773.63 of that being from the business I have created around my YouTube channel and this blog!

I completed my first course, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing which I feel like brought my business to a whole new level. If you are wanting to learn how to make money blogging or on YouTube, this is definitely the class for you. It is 100% worth it!

Side hustle was a huge part of paying off my debt, cash flowing my wedding, cashing flowing my new (to me) car, now that those are in the past I still use side hustle to save for a down payment on our first home!

Here is how I made $2,548.66 this month!

Affiliate Marketing: $888.80

Affiliate Marketing is a really fun side hustle, I took a course this month called Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing and it really taught me a lot on how to expand my brand and knowledge of how to do affiliate marketing correctly. I am very passionate about who and what I support and always vet all companies that I support. My most recent companies that I have endorsed are TeamiTea, an incredible tea with so many health benefits and now they have expanded to a whole skincare line! January was a record breaking month on YouTube yet which led to February being my highest paying month ever! I am currently at 19,423 subscribers and when I hit 20,000 I am going to celebrate by buying myself a vlogging camera! I currently film all of my videos on my iPhone XS!

Etsy: $257.11

At the beginning of October, I decided to take the plunge and open my own Etsy shop! I am now selling my Excel Budget template, annual budget template and Excel wedding budget template! I have some more ideas of future templates and pintables but let me know if you have any requests!

DietBet: $242.50

DietBet is a great way to stay motivated to lose weight and hit your goals. I don’t know about you but when money is on the line I am 100% more motivated to lose weight than when I’m just trying to hit personal goals. With DietBet you be that you will lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks. If you hit don’t hit your goal then your buy in money goes into a pot for all of the winners to split. I played 2 games in February (you can play up to 3 at a time) and received a very nice payout of $242!

Jayme’s Lighting Gig: $200.00

My husband Jayme is a lighting designer for corporate events. Everyone once in a while he will do a freelance gig, a local church needed some help setting up their lighting console and learning how to use it. Jayme saved the day and helped them out for a couple of hours and they gave him a nice $200 tip!

Mystery Shopping: $175.25

Mystery Shopping a fairly new side hustle to me of about 6 months. It was a little scary at first trying to remember all of the questions I have to ask and remember everyone’s name but now I can be in and out in 10 minutes with an extra $8-$20 in my pocket per shop!

Coworker’s Lunch: $107.12

I have been making lunches for one of my coworkers for a couple months now. It is so simple to make a couple extra servings of the lunches I am already preparing for myself. I charge him for the cost of the food and round up a couple dollars. This past month I received a new client and am now making lunches for two coworkers!

YouTube and Money Coaching: $101.35

I’ve been approached by a couple people wanting to start a YouTube channel but afraid to take the jump or have a million questions now that they have a channel. They asked if I would be willing to do skype coaching calls and decided to give it a whirl! I started my YouTube channel in April of 2016 and have learned quite a lot of what to do and not do in the past couple of years.

I am also doing Money coaching to help people step up a budget, stay accountable and start hitting goals!

Ebates: $50.16

I have been using Ebates for years, last month I hit $1,000 in total cash back received!!  Ebates is my favorite tool to make money online from purchases that I am already going to spend. On January 1^st Jayme and I went down to Miami to play with a baby tiger (watch the vlog here), I remembered at the last minute to check to see if they had a groupon and they did!

Not only did we get a 20% discount for purchasing our tickets through Groupon but ALSO received $5.76 from having the Chrome Plugin! Ebates has a super easy to use Chrome Plugin with a pop up that says “Would you like to activate 5% CASH BACK?” … Ummm YES PLEASE!! At the end of the quarter they add up all of your cash back and send a nice deposit to your checking account OR they have a list of stores that you can chose with an EXTRA 5-15% cash back in the form of an e-gift card to that store!
