June 2019 Side Hustle Report – $1,495.47
Hi Friends! June was a great month for Jayme and me. We were able to bring in $11,202.89 and $1,495.47 of that was from side hustle! If you would like to watch our full budget breakdown on where all of our income came from and where it all went be sure to watch our budget report card video on my YouTube channel! If June was a 3 paycheck month for you, here is a video that I put on my channel that may be very helpful for you, click here to watch!
In 2019 I am really working on reinvesting in myself and my business, I jumped in head first and took my first course, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing which I feel like brought my business to a whole new level. If you are wanting to learn how to make money blogging or on YouTube, this is definitely the class for you. It is 100% worth it!
Side hustle was a huge part of paying off my debt, cash flowing my wedding, cashing flowing my new (to me) car, now that those are in the past I still use side hustle to save for a down payment on our first home which we are currently under contract on a home (click here for an empty house tour).
Each month I will share with you my side hustles, how they went and if I started any new ones!
Now for what you have been waiting for! My June Side Hustles from largest to smallest!
Here is how I made $1,495.47 this month, $1,150.82 of that was business revenue!
YouTube Ads: $481.33
June was a really fun month on YouTube! I hit some huge milestones this month! I hit 25,000 subscribers and teamed up with JJ Buckner for a really great collab on The Dave Ramsey Baby Steps VS The FIRE Community which has over 35,000 views in less than a month! The #DebtFreeCommunity is so incredible and MOTIVATING!!
Affiliate Marketing: $434.32
Affiliate Marketing is a really fun side hustle, I took a course this month called Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing and it really taught me a lot on how to expand my brand and knowledge of how to do affiliate marketing correctly. I am very passionate about who and what I support and always vet all companies that I support. My most recent companies that I have endorsed are Built Bars, which are a protein bar that has 15g of protein in each bar and only 3 SP on Weight Watchers Freestyle. Use freedominabudget for 10% off your order and free shipping. Capital One 360 is where I keep all of my sinking funds. It’s a great fee-free checking or savings account with a 1.0% annual percentage! Sign up here and receive a $25 bonus for opening an account!
Amazon: $137.72
Ebates: $124.60
Built Bars: $132.00
Capital One 360: $40.00
Etsy: $155.17
At the beginning of October, I decided to take the plunge and open my own Etsy shop! I am now selling my Monthly Excel Budget Template, Annual Budget Template, Vacation Budget Template and Wedding Budget Template! I have some more ideas of future templates and pintables but let me know if you have any requests!
Catering: $128.00
A friend of mine and I teamed up for a catering job for a small wedding. To be honest we expected to make a little more but we did the newlywed couple a huge favor and got a ton of steps in at the same time!
Meal Prep for Coworkers: $119.00
I have been making lunches for one of my coworkers for a couple months now. It is so simple to make a couple extra servings of the lunches I am already preparing for myself. This past month I received a new client and am now making lunches for three coworkers! I’ve gotten a lot of questions as to how much I charge, how I prep the food, how I advertise; I made a video answering all of your questions How I Made a Side Hustle of Meal Prepping for My Coworkers.
YouTube and Money Coaching: $80.00
I’ve been approached by a couple people wanting to start a YouTube channel but afraid to take the jump or have a million questions now that they have a channel. They asked if I would be willing to do skype coaching calls and decided to give it a whirl! I started my YouTube channel in April of 2016 and have learned quite a lot of what to do and not do in the past couple of years.
I am also doing Money coaching to help people step up a budget, stay accountable and start hitting goals! I’m like a personal trainer, but for your finances!
Selling Wedding Sparklers: $50
We have had over 100 sparklers sitting in my office closet for almost 2 years now. One of my coworkers is getting married and we negotiated a price of $50! Not only did we make some extra money but also freed up some space in the closet!
Mystery Shopping: $33.25
Mystery Shopping has become one of my favorite side hustles, I feel like a Personal Investigator that gets free product! It was a little scary at first trying to remember all of the questions I have to ask and remember everyone’s name but now I can be in and out in 15 minutes with an extra $6-15 in my pocket per shop!
Poshmark: $14.40
As you know Jayme and I are moving in the next couple of months. I am going through all of our clothes to decide what we really want to keep and what we can sell. I listed some of Jayme’s old button down shirts and one of them sold almost immediately! If you sign up for Poshmark you will receive a $10 bonus when you make your first sale through this link! One of my favorite parts of Poshmark is the buyer pays shipping and they will send you a prepaid shipping label so all you have to do is list you item and then after it sells, print out the label and send it off!
Thank you!
Wow I am blown away at how I was able to make almost $1,500 ($2,000 is my goal for July) as side hustle this month and a ton of it came from YOU!! Thank you so much for supporting me through watching my YouTube videos, reading this blog, sharing my content and clicking on my affiliate links. It truly means the world to me!
