Weight Watchers rebrands to WW: Wellness That Works

Weight Watchers Rebrands to Wellness That Works

Hi friends! I’m sure you are hearing all over social media and the news that Weight Watchers is no longer a thing. Before you panic, the program itself WW Freestyle has not changed. PHEW! The way that you track our foods, count our points, scan foods, earn activity points all remain the same.

Weight Watchers has rebranded to WW which stands for Wellness that works. WW is taking a whole new approach in not just focusing on weight loss but our bodies as a whole in wellness. This is a great change to the program and will open up many doors to now help more and more people including people who do not need to lose weight but want to improve healthy habits such as moving more, eating healthier foods, developing a positive mindset… or all of the above including losing weight!

WW will also be introducing WellnessWins™, which is an incredible rewards program that inspires and rewards members at each step of their wellness journey. WW members will earn “Wins” that you can redeem for exclusive products and experience by completing health habits.

Another exciting change is that by 2019, WW will be removing artificial sweeteners, coloring, flavoring, and preservatives from all of their food products that carry the WW brand.

I remember growing up watching my mom and grandma go to Weight Watchers meetings every Saturday. Every once in a while I would tag along because we would be going yard sailing after (one of my favorite childhood memories). The room would be filled with women, only 1 or 2 men in the whole room. This new change is opening up the doors to reach more men now which is great! I believe part of changing the branding colors to a deeper blue is part of that change. There are going to be many great changes to WW in years to come.
