April 2019 Side Hustle Report – $1,892.52
Hi Friends! March was a great month for Jayme and I. We were able to bring in $11,490.46 and $1,892 of that was from side hustle! My husband Jayme went from hourly to salary this month so it was a transition month for us. If you would like to watch our full budget breakdown on where all of our income came from and where it all went be sure to watch our budget report card video on my YouTube channel! If April was a 3 paycheck month for you, here is a video that I put on my channel that may be very helpful for you, click here to watch!
In 2019 I am really working on reinvesting in myself and my business, I jumped in head first and took my first course, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing which I feel like brought my business to a whole new level. If you are wanting to learn how to make money blogging or on YouTube, this is definitely the class for you. It is 100% worth it!
Side hustle was a huge part of paying off my debt, cash flowing my wedding, cashing flowing my new (to me) car, now that those are in the past I still use side hustle to save for a down payment on our first home ($37,813 currently saved)!
Each month I will share with you my side hustles, how they went and if I started any new ones!
Now for what you have been waiting for! My April Side Hustles from largest to smallest!
Here is how I made $1,892.58 this month, $1,097.11 of that was business revenue!
Jayme’s Animations: $667.20
My husband Jayme is currently a lighting designer, he travels around the country to do corporate lighting for trade shows, conferences and concerts but he started out as a graphic designer for a church. He sometimes uses his graphic design skills to make graphics for clients as a side hustle!
YouTube Ads: $634.65
April was another record breaking month on YouTube yet. One of my top videos for the month was ULTIMATE FRUGAL HACKS & HABITS + WAYS WE LIVE FRUGALLY TO SAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS which is currently sitting at almost 35,000 views! The #DebtFreeCommunity and weight loss community are so incredible and MOTIVATING!!
Affiliate Marketing: $231.67
Affiliate Marketing is a really fun side hustle, I took a course this month called Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing and it really taught me a lot on how to expand my brand and knowledge of how to do affiliate marketing correctly. I am very passionate about who and what I support and always vet all companies that I support. My most recent companies that I have endorsed are Built Bars, which are a protein bar that has 15g of protein in each bar and only 3 SP on Weight Watchers Freestyle. Use freedominabudget for 10% off your order and free shipping. As well as TeamiTea, an incredible tea with so many health benefits and now they have expanded to a whole skincare line! Use BUDGET18 for 18% off your order! Capital One 360 is where I keep all of my sinking funds. It’s a great fee-free checking or savings account with a 1.0% annual percentage! Sign up here and receive a $25 bonus for opening an account!
Amazon: $100.55
Built Bars: $82.00
Capital One 360: $40.00
Teami Tea: $5.20
Ebates: $3.92
YouTube and Money Coaching: $154.55
I’ve been approached by a couple people wanting to start a YouTube channel but afraid to take the jump or have a million questions now that they have a channel. They asked if I would be willing to do skype coaching calls and decided to give it a whirl! I started my YouTube channel in April of 2016 and have learned quite a lot of what to do and not do in the past couple of years.
I am also doing Money coaching to help people step up a budget, stay accountable and start hitting goals! I’m like a personal trainer, but for your finances!
Etsy: $85.51
At the beginning of October, I decided to take the plunge and open my own Etsy shop! I am now selling my Monthly Excel Budget Template, Annual Budget Template, Vacation Budget Template and Wedding Budget Template! I have some more ideas of future templates and pintables but let me know if you have any requests!
Meal Prep for Coworkers: $64.50
I have been making lunches for one of my coworkers for a couple months now. It is so simple to make a couple extra servings of the lunches I am already preparing for myself. This past month I received a new client and am now making lunches for three coworkers! I’ve gotten a lot of questions as to how much I charge, how I prep the food, how I advertise; I made a video answering all of your questions How I Made a Side Hustle of Meal Prepping for My Coworkers.
Mystery Shopping: $54.50
Mystery Shopping has become one of my favorite side hustles, I feel like a Personal Investigator that gets free product! It was a little scary at first trying to remember all of the questions I have to ask and remember everyone’s name but now I can be in and out in 15 minutes with an extra $6-15 in my pocket per shop!
Thank you!
