January 2019 Side Hustle Report – $1,781.50
Hi Friends! This is my 4th month doing my side hustle updates and it was my 4th month in a row making over $1,000 in side hustle, I think I need to up my game and make next month’s goal $2,000! In 2019 I am really working on reinvesting in myself and my business, I jumped in head first and took my first course, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing which I feel like brought my business to a whole new level. If you are wanting to learn how to make money blogging or on YouTube, this is definitely the class for you. It is 100% worth it!
Side hustle was a huge part of paying off my debt, cash flowing my wedding, cashing flowing my new (to me) car, now that those are in the past I still use side hustle to save for a down payment on our first home!
Each month I will share with you my side hustles, how they went and if I started any new ones!
Now for what you have been waiting for! My January Side Hustles from largest to smallest!
Here is how I made $1,781.50 this month!
Jayme’s Lighting Gig: $900.00
My husband Jayme is a lighting designer for corporate events. Everyone once in a while he will do a freelance gig of a wedding of Bar Mitzvah. This weekend he worked from 9am to 1:30am at a HUGE Bar Mitzvah and made $800 plus received a $100 tip!
YouTube Ads: $391.70
January was another record breaking month on Youtube yet. I hosted a HUGE collab on My Top 5 WW Foods with 23 other channels. That video broke a personal record of over 2,500 views in the first 24 hours and over 500 subscribers in one day!! The #DebtFreeCommunity and weight loss community are so incredible and MOTIVATING!!
Ebates: $104.93
I have been using Ebates for years, this month I hit $1,000 in total cash back received!! Ebates is my favorite tool to make money online from purchases that I am already going to spend. On January 1st Jayme and I went down to Miami to play with a baby tiger (watch the vlog here), I remembered at the last minute to check to see if they had a
Not only did we get a 20% discount for purchasing our tickets through Groupon but
Affiliate Marketing: $111.66
Affiliate Marketing is a really fun side hustle, I took a course this month called Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing and it really taught me a lot on how to expand my brand and knowledge of how to do affiliate marketing correctly. I am very passionate about who and what I support and always vet all companies that I support. My most recent companies that I have endorsed are TeamiTea, an incredible tea with so many health benefits and now they have expanded to a whole skincare line! Use BUDGET18 for 18% off your order! As well as Built Bars, which are a protein bar that has 15g of protein in each bar and only 3 SP on Weight Watchers Freestyle. Use freedominabudget for 10% off your order.
Etsy: $70.53
At the beginning of October, I decided to take the plunge and open my own Etsy shop! I am now selling my Excel Budget template, annual budget template and Excel wedding budget template, all are currently ON SALE for $4 each! I have some more ideas of future templates and pintables but let me know if you have any requests!
Mystery Shopping: $84.00
Mystery Shopping a fairly new side hustle to me of about 3-4 months. It was a little scary at first trying to remember all of the questions I have to ask and remember everyone’s name but now I can be in and out in 10 minutes with an extra $8-$20 in my pocket per shop!
Amazon Affiliates: $26.68
Affiliating marketing is one my new favorite ways to make an income by just directing people to use my Amazon Link! When someone purchases through my link it doesn’t cost them anymore but I receive a VERY SMALL percent of their sale … yes its small but it all adds up, right?!
Coworker’s Lunch: $62.00
I have been making lunches for one of my coworkers for a couple months now. It is so simple to make a couple extra servings of the lunches I am already preparing for myself. I charge him for the cost of the food and round up a couple dollars. This past month I received a new client and am now making lunches for two coworkers!
Sold Juicer: $30.00
Selling old items around your home is a great way to declutter as well as make some extra cash. I overheard a coworker talking about how she wanted to start juicing every morning and was researching different juicers. I told her about the one time I did a juice fast several years ago and haven’t touched my juicer since. I asked if she wanted to buy mine and she jumped at the offer! One less big appliance in my cabinet and $30 extra cash in my pocket!
Wow I am blown away at how I was able to make over $1,700 as side hustle this month and a ton of it came from YOU!! Thank you so much for supporting me through watching my YouTube videos, reading this blog, sharing my content and clicking on my affiliate links. It truly means the world to me!
